Love or hate: Jo Malone Peony & blush Suede

...what an interesting hairstyle.!
Hey Guyss xx Its been ages since i wrote my last Kiss or Miss review. My sample just recently came and i have to admit that i love it! I got mine from Whatsinmyhandbag , if you want to know how, i have a post on how to get your hands on loads of free stuff.

The cologne is described as 'The essence of charm.  Peonies in voluptuous bloom, exquisitely fragile.  Flirtatious with the juicy bite of red apple and the opulence of jasmine, rose and gillyflower.  Mingling with the sensuality of soft, blush suede.  Luxurious and seductive'.  When i first smelt it, it was heaven! i love fruity perfumes. I could definitely smell the red apples and the jasmine. It is really beautiful sweet smell, but its more of a summer sent. Its also very sophisticated and more mature than other perfumes that I have tried. Very Chic!

The packaging is really cute. Its not overly girlie and tacky. I searched the perfume online, and it turns out that 'peony' is a type of flower! dahh . I stupidly didn't realise that from the box. The advertisement features a striking women with crazy hair, like a pony, and a hell load of flowers.  The cologne bottle itself is very chic with a simple colour scheme.

Since it is a a cologne, i was very surprised at how long it stayed for. Colognes are normally very water based which means that is not as long lasting as an Eau de Parfum. After 3 days I could still smell it on my clothes. (Don't worry i do wash my clothes) 30ml retails for around £30-40, which is okay considering its a high end brand. I think its really worth it. I always find that High end brands are so much better and more long lasting than ordinary perfumes. My mum loves Cocoa Channel perfumes. When me and my sister were younger, we loved dressing up with my mum's stuff. Sadly, we also loved my mum's coco channel perfume! I still have no idea how the entire bottle ended up on our carpet!! but at least it smelt nice,,! ;)

Overall, I love it! it smells divine!  Its super Chic, and I think its gorgeous! 5/5 from me!

Beedies how to: create 60's Disco inspired marble nail ! ☮

Hey Guys x
I was watching some tutorials on YouTube,  when I came across this design. It took a while to get it the way I wanted, but I really love that retro look. I think its really in style right now. And its super cute. .... I had to dress up!

Groovy!
It pretty simple and you don't need any fancy equipment. Anyone can do it at home. All you need is...

  • your chosen nail polishes. I'm using these red herrings nail polishes that I got for my birthday. I recommend not using old dry or glittery nail polishes. Iv'e been practising all day and I found out that glittery and old, thick nail polishes don't work at all. :(
  • Some tap water
  • nail polish remover, some cotton buds and some cotton wool. It does get on the sides of your finger, but it easy to get off.
  • some tape. The best type to use is masking tape.
  • An old bowl or container.

Steps:

Step 1: pour some water into the bowl. Don't fill it too high. If your nail polishes are dry and a bit old,
use warm/hot water, because it makes the nail polish easily spread out.
Step 2: Mummify your finger! using 3 small pieces of tape, cover around your finger, making it
as close to your nail as possible. This makes it easy to clean up afterwards.
step 3: choose your colours. Shake well and add a drop of your first colour. This bit is the really important
part, and it needs to be done really fast, otherwise the colours will dry up and not stick to your nail.
It should spread around like this, if not add another drop or use hotter water.

Step 4; add your other colours. Iv'e chosen bright, fun colours to go with my Disco theme.

Step 5: with a toothpick start creating your design. By now the first colour (mint green) is dry so start from the next colour. I done this by drawing the outer layer inwards, into the centre.
Step 6:dip in your nail slowly. whilst your nail is still in, get a cotton bud and remove any excess nail polish
in the water. Slowly lift up your nail. Clean up the sides and remove the tape. Just use some nail polish remover if there is still any left over. It took a long time to dry, but it was worth the wait!! :)
Heart design. <3
There's so many possible outcomes.

I love not being able to tell how its going to come out, and all the individual swirls and colours. Its so fun to do and is perfect for sleepovers or just hanging with your friends. :) It did take some practise, but it is easy to master. I hope you enjoy doing it!
send me some of your nail designs, I'll love to see yours <3

Beedies Hauls : My Freebies!!

Hey Beauty Lovers!

okay call me mama June, but I love free stuff. It all happened last year when free samples of Fit Me came out in the UK. The sample was completely not my colour, but it gave me a warm felling inside, then I went CRAZY. Over the last year I collected everything I could possibly get my hands on and I didn't pay a thing!
from Chanel to E45, I have a hell lot of stuff. In this post I am going to explain how I did it.

Freebie Websites:

There are so many websites which updates you with the latest free stuff. Websites like http://www.latestfreestuff.co.uk/ and http://www.magicfreebiesuk.co.uk/ are really great. All you have to do is give in your address and details and it comes through the post. For me, the wait really kills. Some stuff takes 3-4 weeks or even more. But if your not willing to wait, you can always go to your nearest beauty counter (e.g. Dedenhams) and ask if they have any free samples. Since last year I have got free cream samples of garnier and E45, a free Chanel pocket size mascara and over 6 postcard samples of perfumes such as Dior and Escada. Samples are given out every time a new product comes out to promote it. Its a great way to test something before you go out a buy it, so keep your eyes out!

Beauty Giveaways:

Beauty giveaways is also another way to get great products. Iv'e  won two products: Eucerin SPF 15 cream £13.50 and Elemental Herbology bathing Detox - £20. Which is a total of £33.50. !! I got mine from Stella Big Beauty Giveaway by the Telegraph. There are also many Youtubers who do giveaways. But be aware of any dangers and don't give any personal information - its a dangerous world out there.

Beauty testing Websites:

Another way to get freebies is from beauty testing websites. I am signed up with whatsinmyhandbagcom. Its a fabulous website, where readers are given make up to test and review. I am in love with it. Readers have to register for products and get to keep them. Iv'e been given to chance to test a sample of La Roche-Posay anti-wrinkle treatment. Although I am a bit too young for wrinkles -its still Free! my mum loves it. And it comes in a very cute fancy package. !!!

Free make up with Magazines:

There's nothing better than free make up. I got a free full size models own lip enhancer lip liner with Glamour  magazine. The magazine cost me only £2, but if I had bought the lip liner it would have cost me £14. which means I saved £12. The only problem was that i was not able to test it before. Here's a link to other free make up with upcoming magazines.

Its been a long post, Thank you for reading <3

Beedies How to: Make your own home-made lip scrub!!

Hey Guys!

There's nothing more worse than dry lips. It makes your lip look gross and flaky when you apply lip stick. I got the idea of making my own lip scrub when I came across Lush's bubblegum lip scrub. It was then when I thought ... 'what a waste of money'!! all your paying for is pink sugar that smells nice! for £5.50 you only get 25g! Today I am going to be showing how to make your own Lip Scrub.
Its super easy to make and very cheap.
The ingredients are things you should have in your kitchen, if not get up and go to ASDA, you lazy.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 a tablespoon of honey. Honey has been used for its beauty and health benefits, for millions of years, including by Cleopatra who is said to put it in her bath! It has antibacterial properties, reducing Acne, and infections. It also contains vitamin C and B. It can be used as a natural moisturiser because of its water properties which retains water and hydrates the skin.. It retains the skins natural elasticity and decreases winkles. Honey is also an antioxidants which protects the skin from UV, decreasing the chance of skin cancer and premature ageing. WOW I'm blown away.
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar. Sugar is also another natural moisturiser which draws in moister to the skin. sugar is also a source of glycolic acid which gets rid of dead skin cells. Sugar has small particles which exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells and creating a natural glow!
  • A couple drops of olive oil. Due to the high level of antioxidants (vitamin A and E), olive oil is a great anti-ageing treatment. Olive oil penetrates deep into the skin which keeps the skin monetised. Olive oil is also a natural barrier which retain moister within the skin.
  • Finally, a couple drops of food colour to add some colour to your lips!

Steps:

Step 1: in a bowl add 1 tablespoon of normal granulated sugar and a couple drops of olive oil and your
chosen flavouring. It should look like yellow crystals.
step 2: add the honey and a little drop of food colouring. I'm using a gel food colouring in hot pink. A little goes a long way, so only add a little amount. I also suggest not to use a green or brown colour, as it will stain your lips, unless that's the look your going for! If it is too wet just add
some more sugar. Then just
mix it all up!

Step 3: put it on your lips and with your finger or a toothbrush, (remember to check that its new and clean!),  then just Scrub, Scrub, Scrub!  This can make a mess.
Store it in an airtight container. I put mine in an old rimmel match perfection container with a white lid
to stop air getting in.

before and after!
mmmmm..  Try not to eat it up! Its a great Lip scrub and I could definitely see a difference after scrubbing. It made my lips plump and pink! I definitely recommend it.
BE WARNED. ITS SUGARY!

Love or Hate:: Rimmel London SCANDALEYES waterproof kahal eye liner

Hey Make up Lovers!
From keeping away dark spirits to widening the eyes, eye liner has been used for centuries. It certainly is a must have in every girls make up bag. Eye liner can be used by tight lining, to create an illusion of lush lashes or on the top eye lid to create a bold look. Today I am going to be reviewing Rimmel London's scandeleyes waterproof kahal eye liner. Rimmel have it in 7 different shades. Mine is in shade 001 Black.

I must say, after reading loads of good reviews I am disappointed. Although I love the design and the price, its nothing like I expected. The pencil is made from a very tough wood which is very hard to sharpen. After you managed to sharpen it, it leaves little wood grains which is not good for your eyes! Trust me it burns! The quality of the pencil is appalling. I'm a fan of drug-store make up, but this is truly disappointing. The product itself is too soft. Its so hard to draw a thin line (picture below) because the tip kept moulding into a flat shape. I was literally moulding it with my fingers. The colour should have been a dark black, but after a couple hours it had a hint of green!
Rimmel truly have disappointed me. I'm really sorry but it has to be a ....

2/5 :(

Thanks for reading, let me know what you think!

Love or Hate? One Direction MUA Cheek Tint

# Don't need Make-up to cover up - So why start a make-up collection to encourage girls to wear make up?

Hey Beauty lovers
Don't you just hate it when celebrities try to make more millions! sometimes it just feels like they are trying all the possible ways to make more money without caring about the quality of the product. Don't get me wrong I don't hate One direction, its just the fact that little girls will go out to spend money to put slap on their face because it has One Direction's name on it. My sister, a super fan, under their handsome spell, waited days for the One Direction make-up to came out. But when we went their, two hours after it came out, most of it was gone, even the testers! that itself speaks volumes! I wasn't able to see all of the collection, but I know that they have nail polishes, Cheek tint and lip balms.

Today I am going to be reviewing the One Direction oh my glow cheek tint in shade Coral Cutie. When we went out to buy it, we had no idea what colour it would come out. Luckily it wasn't to orange like I thought it would be. It was only £3, which is no surprise because it was made by MUA. (MUA  is a cheap make-up brand in the UK). Sometimes cheap make-up really concerns me. I think we automatically think the quality will be bad because its cheap. One of my friends, for example, always sticks to high-end make-up like Benefit and Channel, which takes her weeks to save up for.
Packaging
I have to admit, I think its cute how their song lyric (What makes you beautiful) is printed on the cheek tint. It is really small, and only has 4.8 grams worth of cheek tint, which is very disappointing. But I did like how it had a small plastic cover ^ to stop any bacteria from getting on to the product.

After blending.
It was very easy to use. I only applied a little, at the top of my cheek temple, making sure that it wasn't to close to my nose. Nobody wants to look like a drag queen! Then I just blended with my fingers. At first it had a creamy texture, but after blending it felt a bit powdery and very soft. The colour wasn't as coral like the name, instead it was very pinky. MUA have 3 shade: Rose Riot (purple  pink), pink explosion (a Barbie light pink) and Coral Cutie. After a couple of hours, I noticed that it had started to disappear, which meant I had to re-do my make-up .
So is it a kiss or a Miss?....

I'm sorry One Direction, its a miss
                                                    ....... but I would give Zayn a
any day ;) <3

Love or Hate? Kiko Milano make-up Review

Hey Make-up Lovers, today I am going to be reviewing Kiko's smart lip liner in colour 712 Rose Mauve and their eye-shadow in 102 Dark pearly gold.
I thought it would be cute to add some lolly-pop :)
Kiko is an Italian Cosmetic company which has both make-up and skin care products. I came across Kiko when I was in Westfield, in Stratford London, and I loved it. The make-up was displayed beautifully, but it wasn't overwhelming like my last experience in MAC. There was a huge variety of colours and customers were free to test as much as they liked, they even had complimentary make-up removers for when you finished testing, so you don't have to walk around with a rainbow on your hand! The staff in Kiko were also really helpful and kind. It was one of my best shopping experience.

I don't know why but I love the look of golden and bronze colours on dark skin tones. For a long time iv'e been trying to look for a really good high pigmented eye-shadow, and I couldn't believe it when I found exactly what I was looking for in Kiko. I felt like I was going to burst out a High School Musical song in the middle of the shop! its the perfact yellow gold which reminds me of summer time in the beach and that yellow sun set colour.
And I was even more surprised to see that it was on sale for only £2.90 and that it was £4.90 before the summer sale! which is amazingly! When I came home I was browsing on the Kiko website  and I was shocked to find out that they have 81 shades! what more could a girl want?

I lOVE the packaging which was simple with a professional-looking text. The eye-shadow container is easy to open with a button which pops the lip open! It is a very high pigmented and long-lasting eye-shadow, like it had promised. It is super soft and so easy to blend which is perfect for if your going for a smoky look. Its perfect for day and night time looks. I warn mine to a night wedding. It brightened my eyes and stayed on throughout the wedding so I didn't need retouching. I only needed a little amount of eye-shadow. I think it will suit all skin tones. It is also perfect if you want a bold colour, simply wet your brush to make the colour stand out for that eye-catching look!

Overall Kiko have achieved a fabulous eye-shadow it gets a .....
from me! 5/5!
great price, good looking, delivers what it promises, good range to choose from, fabulous!

When I at Kiko I also came across a lip liner. I have to admit I am a bit picky when it comes to lip colour. I love natural pinks, not too Barbie and not too bright red. somewhere in the middle. I have very dry lips, especially in winter, which does not go very well with lip liners. It normally ends up looking very crusty and dry! But this lip liner was different. Mine is in colour 712 Rose Mauve.

The texture of the lip liner is incrediably creamy and very soft which glides onto the lip. This makes it very easy to blend. I was very surprised at the coverage which I didn't expect at all. I have a darker upper lip which was easily covered. like the eye shadow it was also cheap and only £2.50. The packaging is also very sleek and professional.

obviously its a...

 5/5! LOVE IT!
I think iv'e fallen in love! Kiko have blown me away. I am definitely going to go back to Kiko.
I know its been a long post, but I would love to hear what you think!

Love or Hate?: New Seventeen Doll'd mascara

Hey
Welcome to my first beauty review. Today I am going to be reviewing the new Seventeen’s Doll’d up mascara. I bought mine from Boots for £6.29, which is a very reasonable price for a mascara. Boots always have offers, they currently have a buy one get one 1/2 offer on selected make-up. So keep your eyes out!
- Here's a  link to the Seventeen Doll'd up mascara :)  http://www.boots.com/en/SEVENTEEN-Dolld-Up-Mascara_1303111/

Packaging:

I love the 'doll'd up' packaging; I think it is very cute, perfect for the concept. I love the colours and the cute  bow. The mascara has a very interesting shape, it kind of reminds me of Lancome mascara.
Overall I love how it looks. :)

Seventeen say:
Create show stopping eye drama this season with SEVENTEEN’S NEW ‘doll’d Up’ mascara. With special lash lifting 24hour curl & volume benefits and an anti-clump brush, you can make sure that your lashes stay firmly in the limelight.SEVENTEEN’S ‘doll’d Up’ mascara uses a curved brush specially designed to give you a fabulous set of doll like lashes to super-charge your cheeky side this winter for amazing volume and curl without clumping. Create a beautiful overstated wide-eyed look, by applying to your top and bottom lashes . With up to 24 hours of staying power you can flutter your lashes all day and night.
I’m not very sure if it holds a ‘24hour curl’ – no-one should be wearing it for that long!   But it definitely does give a clump-less finish. The smooth formula creates a natural look, and is easy to build up, if you prefer a bold look.

After
only 1 coat, my eyelashes look long and doll’d up ;). The wand is a curl shape, which I prefer more than a straight wand. The comb wand is very good at creating individual eyelashes and also at coating each and every eyelash.
-Sorry about my manly eyebrow- but hey it’s the summer holiday :D.

So is the Seventeen Doll'd up mascara a Kiss or a Miss? (.... drum roll)      obviously it’s a

the Seventeen doll'd up mascara is definitely one of my July favourites.
  • good packaging
  • great brush
  • smooth formula
  • cute concept
  • good value for money
It gets a  5/5 and a <3 from me!
Thanks for reading,
what mascara do you wear? and what do you think of  seventeen's Doll'd Up Mascara?
let me know  if you have any suggestions.
