Love or hate: Nicki Minaj Minajesty

Hey Guys, I've got a new sample which I ordered a couple weeks ago. Today I'm going to be reviewing Nicki Minaj's Minajesty perfume, which will be released later on this year.

Nicki Minaj has two perfumes out so far, and I think the price will range from
£20-£30. I have to admit I hate celebrity Perfumes, to me it seems like just another way of making money without caring about the actual product. The sample I ordered came in a bright pink package which was a bit Barbie like. Sometimes pink can be tacky, but i guess its  just Nicki Minaj’s colour.

When I first sprayed it, I got a big punch of sweetness. For me it was a bit too much and really sickening. The type that would make you feel sick in a long car ride. My sister, a big Britney Spears perfume lover, is always warned not to wear any of her perfumes before we go on a trip. It might just be me, but I hate wearing fruity perfumes, I’m more a mature flower type of girl.

After the perfume settles in, you can smell candy floss, which I guess is the theme (...duh). -Typical Barbie scent. On the positive side, it’s an Eau De Parfum, so you know it’s going to last a long time. I actually tested it before going on my usually chaotic Sunday shopping trip with the great British weather. I sprayed a little on my sleeve, and I was quite glad that it lasted the rain and madness after 2-3 hours.

If you like sweet smelling perfumes, (like Britney’s Fantasy) this is the perfume for you! It’s very sweet and girly.
What type of perfume person are you?

Leibster Award! 2014

Hey Guys,
I am really excited to be nominated for the Leibster Award by the lovely Amy Barden, who is the writer of Face it Amy. I've been so stressed out lately about revision and exams, its really nice to have a break and do this post. The Leibster Award is set up by bloggers, who nominate other blogs. The point of the Liebster award is to let new bloggers be recognized.

The Rules:
1. Mention the person who nominated you and link their blog.
2. Answer the 11 questions set to you by the person who nominated you.
3. Nominate 11 other bloggers who have less than 200 followers.
4. Set them 11 questions that you want them to answer.

My questions form Amy:

1. When you're not studying/working/blogging, what is your favorite thing to do?

humm... I have so many things that I love to do. But one of my favs is to bake! I have a really bad sweet tooth and can end up eating half a cake sometimes! I also really love to knit. I just finished making a hat for my brother. It came out really cute with a HUGE pompom on it. But recently I've been thinking about making bracelets for friends and family. They look really cool and handmade. I will be definitely put up a post about it later.

2. What would be your dream job?

You might think I'm a bit wierd but from the age of about 6 I really wanted to be a dentist. It all started when me and my older sister were playing pretend-dentists and she knocked out one of my teeth. ...Yh  it was painful but its still something I want to pursue today. I've been working really hard to get the grades so that i can get into dental school next year. That is really how it just started :)

3. How old were you when you got into beauty/fashion?

Growing up i was really shy and self conscious. From about the age of 11 I started wearing foundation, because i felt that it will hide my horrible hairy face. And in a way I was hiding behind it. I went to a really rough school, which really didn't help my confidence. After moving out of London, I started at an all girls grammar school, where I got my confidence back. 5 months ago I started this blog, and have meet loads of new people and have had such a fun time doing it.

4. What made you start a blog?

I think it was after watching a draw-my-life video on Youtube by Bubzbeauty, I was inspired to start a blog and share my tips with other people. I thought it would be fun and my younger sister really encouraged me to do it, I'm so glad I did.

5. Be honest... How long did it take you to come up with your blog name?

It actually didn't take a lot of time. I just knew it should be called Beedies Blog, because it was the name my friends called me by and because it just had a nice ring to it.

6. Favorite thing to watch on TV?

ohhhh... I love tv. I'm a bit of an Eastenders fan because i used to live right near the Thames. You can  actually see my old house and school at the beginning. Recently I've been watching Mr Selfridge. I love everything about it! The makeup, hair and clothes are so nice it makes me want to live in the 1900s.

7. Do you read many magazines, and if so which?

I love my beaty magazines. I love Elle and Grazia and Glamour. I love reading about current trends and makeup must haves. I also love the free gifts that come with it too!

8. Do you do most of your shopping in town or online?

I wish I would do more shopping online, but I usually go out with my mum or sisters. I just love the experience of going shopping, eating out, then rushing home to try on your new stuff.

9. Lipstick or mascara?

This question took the most time for me! It has to be mascara. It just does wonders to your whole face and makes such a difference.

10. Name one key item in your skin care routine that you couldn't live without?

I love olive oil.  Not the cooking oil, the skin one. I put loads on before going to bed and wake to moist, soft skin! I love it.

11. What would you say to someone reading this who is wondering whether to start a blog or not?

I would say, Its definitely worth it. You will meet new people and make new friends from all over the world. where you can share your tips and learn new ones. Its so much fun and is a great experience. If your a new blogger send me a link and I will help you out. x

There we have it guys! all 11 questions answered.

Beedie's Must Haves: Winter Favs

Hi Guys, I know its been ages! But I'm back today with all the products I've fallen in love with this winter.

1) LOreal Studio Secrets Professional Lip tint- £8.49 in Runaway rose. I am so annoyed that i didn't try this product before. I found it on the clearance area in boots one day, for a pound!! I really didn't find anything wrong with it. What I really like about it is that the colour stays for hours. And its really easy to use for both casual and formal looks. I found that when applied from the side it gave a much lighter and natural look. If you want a bold look, apply using the tip. This lip stain is perfect for when your lips look a bit colorless and dry especially in winter.

2) Dr Nick Lowe, spot gel -£11. In winter, we girls get a lot of spots after all that junk from Christmas. I also found it in the clearance area!! the gel instantly cools blemishes and reduces redness. I love how good it feels. You only need to apply a bit and it instantly goes into your skin. The packaging is so professional. This product should be in every girls dressing table. Love it!

3) Estee Lauder Double wear- £25. I found a voucher online to try out Double wear in Debenhams and I took it straight away. The lady there was really helpful at choosing the right colour and gave me options from the many shades available. I always say, you know if a foundation is good if it has loads of shades to choose from. You get a little jar of your foundation, which you get a lot of product from. I tried it out in a wedding a couple weeks ago and I was so surprised at the finish and flawless look. The formula is so easy to bend and has excellent coverage which last a long time. The only possible down side to it is the price! But its good for special occasions where you want to dress up and good for photos!

4) Rimmel London Retro Glam Scandaleyes Mascara- £4.99. I did a review for the Scandaleye eyeliner after being so disappointed with it. The mascara has a huge brush which gives a so much volume. I applied a coat then curled it, to give a false-eyelash-like look. Its a cheap and good mascara for nights out. The formula is quite thick which is great if you want a big finish.

5) Monsoon EDT £15. I've been using this perfume for years and never got board of it. It has a slight woody/floral sent which really reminds me of winter. As its only an edp it doesn't last for every long  but the sent is soo lovely. I love the packaging and style for the perfume, and its definitely one of my favs. It remins of the new benefit woody perfume.

Whats your fav winter product this year?

Love or hate: Jo Malone Peony & blush Suede

...what an interesting hairstyle.!
Hey Guyss xx Its been ages since i wrote my last Kiss or Miss review. My sample just recently came and i have to admit that i love it! I got mine from Whatsinmyhandbag , if you want to know how, i have a post on how to get your hands on loads of free stuff.

The cologne is described as 'The essence of charm.  Peonies in voluptuous bloom, exquisitely fragile.  Flirtatious with the juicy bite of red apple and the opulence of jasmine, rose and gillyflower.  Mingling with the sensuality of soft, blush suede.  Luxurious and seductive'.  When i first smelt it, it was heaven! i love fruity perfumes. I could definitely smell the red apples and the jasmine. It is really beautiful sweet smell, but its more of a summer sent. Its also very sophisticated and more mature than other perfumes that I have tried. Very Chic!

The packaging is really cute. Its not overly girlie and tacky. I searched the perfume online, and it turns out that 'peony' is a type of flower! dahh . I stupidly didn't realise that from the box. The advertisement features a striking women with crazy hair, like a pony, and a hell load of flowers.  The cologne bottle itself is very chic with a simple colour scheme.

Since it is a a cologne, i was very surprised at how long it stayed for. Colognes are normally very water based which means that is not as long lasting as an Eau de Parfum. After 3 days I could still smell it on my clothes. (Don't worry i do wash my clothes) 30ml retails for around £30-40, which is okay considering its a high end brand. I think its really worth it. I always find that High end brands are so much better and more long lasting than ordinary perfumes. My mum loves Cocoa Channel perfumes. When me and my sister were younger, we loved dressing up with my mum's stuff. Sadly, we also loved my mum's coco channel perfume! I still have no idea how the entire bottle ended up on our carpet!! but at least it smelt nice,,! ;)

Overall, I love it! it smells divine!  Its super Chic, and I think its gorgeous! 5/5 from me!

Beedies how to: create 60's Disco inspired marble nail ! ☮

Hey Guys x
I was watching some tutorials on YouTube,  when I came across this design. It took a while to get it the way I wanted, but I really love that retro look. I think its really in style right now. And its super cute. .... I had to dress up!

Groovy!
It pretty simple and you don't need any fancy equipment. Anyone can do it at home. All you need is...

  • your chosen nail polishes. I'm using these red herrings nail polishes that I got for my birthday. I recommend not using old dry or glittery nail polishes. Iv'e been practising all day and I found out that glittery and old, thick nail polishes don't work at all. :(
  • Some tap water
  • nail polish remover, some cotton buds and some cotton wool. It does get on the sides of your finger, but it easy to get off.
  • some tape. The best type to use is masking tape.
  • An old bowl or container.

Steps:

Step 1: pour some water into the bowl. Don't fill it too high. If your nail polishes are dry and a bit old,
use warm/hot water, because it makes the nail polish easily spread out.
Step 2: Mummify your finger! using 3 small pieces of tape, cover around your finger, making it
as close to your nail as possible. This makes it easy to clean up afterwards.
step 3: choose your colours. Shake well and add a drop of your first colour. This bit is the really important
part, and it needs to be done really fast, otherwise the colours will dry up and not stick to your nail.
It should spread around like this, if not add another drop or use hotter water.

Step 4; add your other colours. Iv'e chosen bright, fun colours to go with my Disco theme.

Step 5: with a toothpick start creating your design. By now the first colour (mint green) is dry so start from the next colour. I done this by drawing the outer layer inwards, into the centre.
Step 6:dip in your nail slowly. whilst your nail is still in, get a cotton bud and remove any excess nail polish
in the water. Slowly lift up your nail. Clean up the sides and remove the tape. Just use some nail polish remover if there is still any left over. It took a long time to dry, but it was worth the wait!! :)
Heart design. <3
There's so many possible outcomes.

I love not being able to tell how its going to come out, and all the individual swirls and colours. Its so fun to do and is perfect for sleepovers or just hanging with your friends. :) It did take some practise, but it is easy to master. I hope you enjoy doing it!
send me some of your nail designs, I'll love to see yours <3
